PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Program
As an Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI), teaching new divers to scuba dive is great fun. But you can have even more fun and open up greater career opportunities as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT).
Why become a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)?
PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers are qualified to teach scuba divers more than just the core PADI courses. They can have fun teaching PADI specialty courses like Deep, Wreck, Drift, Night and so much more. Plus they can earn more money as they can teach a wider variety of courses, and can carry on with their students as they themselves progress as divers through the PADI curriculum.
Which means that MSDTs can help scuba divers reach their goals of becoming Master Scuba Divers, the ultimate acheivement for recreational divers.
Imagine the feeling of being the master who helps a student attain their scuba diving "black belt"!
MSDTs are also very much in demand around the world at PADI centres, so if you`re looking to get ahead in the industry or scoop up a prime job at an exotic beach location, now`s the time to become an MSDT.

What is the Action Scuba MSDT Prep program?
It`s simple! Our MSDT Prep program will provide you with the Specialty Instructor training and certification you need to become a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, under the guidance of our dedicated Action Scuba PADI Course Directors.
In order to become certified as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT), you must meet the following prerequisites:
- Be an active PADI instructor. We offer cross-over training for non-PADI instructors.
- Be a PADI Specialty Instructor for at least 5 specialty areas. Our program includes at least 5 specialty instructor courses. Typically we suggest popular specialties like Nitrox, Deep, Night, Drift, and O2 provider. Or you can choose other specialty courses suited to where and how you want to teach. For example, Drysuit for local diving.
- You must have certified 25 PADI divers. Note that you can complete the MSDT Prep course before you certify 25 students, and simply send in your MSDT rating paperwork once you reach the 25 student mark. Which means that you can get started on your MSDT prep as soon as you become certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. In fact, the more specialties you can teach, the easier it will be to certify 25 students!
Our Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) program can be tailored to your needs. We also offer regularly scheduled MSDT programs several times a year and even offer great discounts and perks for those who buy their IDC and MSDT prep together. Contact us for details.
