What is the Action Scuba MSDT Prep program?
It`s simple! Our MSDT Prep program will provide you with the Specialty Instructor training and certification you need to become a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, under the guidance of our dedicated Action Scuba PADI Course Directors.
In order to become certified as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT), you must meet the following prerequisites:
- Be an active PADI instructor. We offer cross-over training for non-PADI instructors.
- Be a PADI Specialty Instructor for at least 5 specialty areas. Our program includes at least 5 specialty instructor courses. Typically we suggest popular specialties like Nitrox, Deep, Night, Drift, and O2 provider. Or you can choose other specialty courses suited to where and how you want to teach. For example, Drysuit for local diving.
- You must have certified 25 PADI divers. Note that you can complete the MSDT Prep course before you certify 25 students, and simply send in your MSDT rating paperwork once you reach the 25 student mark. Which means that you can get started on your MSDT prep as soon as you become certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. In fact, the more specialties you can teach, the easier it will be to certify 25 students!
