Whether you want to be able to dive on your vacations down south, or you want to explore our local waterways, your training with Action Scuba will ensure you will be a safe and confident scuba diver wherever you go. And of course, you`ll have fun while learning!
Our all-inclusive entry level certification courses include everything you will need to become a scuba diver, including equipment rentals, course materials, air fills, theory and practical sessions with our bilingual staff, and certification cards, all for one low price.
Our Learn to Dive program is a total package that will teach you all of the necessary theory and practical skills you need to become a scuba diver. And because our full PADI Open Water Diver course includes both pool AND open water certification dives, by the end of it you will be free to dive anywhere in the world with your globally recognised Open Water Diver certification from PADI.
All of our confined water training is completed in local pools around the island of Montreal, including the Lasalle Aquadome, John Abbott College, Pointe Claire and other parts of the West Island. We also offer Discover Scuba diving sessions in several local pools throughout the summer around the island of Montreal and in the West Island. If your organization or school has a pool, we can also bring our courses to you.
Our open water training takes place in the picturesque and historic Brockville area of the 1000 Islands, less than 2 hours from Montreal, specially chosen to provide you with an interesting and comfortable training environment. Between Cornwall and Kingston there are over 350 shipwrecks, and because it is fed by runoff from the Great Lakes, the St Lawrence River in this area warms up to around 75 degrees Fahrenheit in summer, unlike some of the colder lakes and quarries in the Montreal area. Our training location also allows us to offer all those students who complete their certification weekend with us the chance to hop on our dive boat for their first wreck dive as certified divers, compliments of Action Scuba!
Plus, we truly believe that scuba diving is a social sport, so during your certification weekend we encourage you to join our scuba diving community with our signature Action Scuba campfire gathering where we swap scuba stories and get to know each other.
Or you can choose to complete your theory and confined water training with us locally in just one weekend, and complete your open water certification dives in an exotic locale with our Learn to Dive on Vacation program or with our experts instructors on one of our many dive trips throughout the year.

We are very proud to announce that as of January 27, 2012, Action Scuba has become the FIRST dive centre in Canada to join Project AWARE`s 100% Aware program. 
For every scuba student who completes a recreational scuba diving course with us, we will donate $10 to Project Aware. Which means that when you complete your course with us, you`ll receive a special limited edition Project Aware version of your PADI certification card, which you can show off with pride.
