Action Scuba`s Gary Davis Joins PADI Elite as Course Director
Montreal, Quebec (July, 2012): Action Scuba owner Gary Davis has become a PADI Course Director following the recent PADI Course Director Training Course (CDTC) held in the Dominican Republic. He is now a PADI instructor trainer, able to conduct PADI Instructor Development Courses (IDC)and continuing education training for all dive professionals.
The rank of PADI Course Director is the highest and most respected rating in recreational scuba diving, and is awarded to a select number of highly qualified and elite PADI scuba diving instructors who possess a wealth of scuba diving experience, knowledge and skills.
Course Director candidates must pass an extensive screening process in order to be accepted into the demanding and extensive CDTC program, following a careful examination of their teaching record, training and expertise. Only the best instructors from around the world are selected for this exclusive program, and less than 80 new PADI Course Directors are named annually around the world.
With his latest achievement Action Scuba`s Gary Davis cements his position as one of the top scuba diving professionals in Canada. Gary has personally certified over 800 scuba divers in a career that spans many years, and is also a technical diving instructor (PADI TecRec & TDI) and EFR instructor, as well as an accomplished boat captain, scuba equipment service technician, underwater photographer and sailing instructor. He is also the owner and manager of Action Scuba, one of Montreal`s fastest growing dive centres.
Gary also recently completed the first PADI Rebreather and Tec40 CCR instructor course in Canada, and is now certified to teach both recreational and technical diving courses for rebreather divers.
Action Scuba, a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre located in Montreal`s West Island, now has two dedicated PADI Course Directors on staff offering PADI professional programs, including Instructor Development Courses (IDC), Divemaster courses, and Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) courses, throughout the year.
