Project AWARE Dive Against Debris for Montreal Scuba Divers
Our planet and oceans need us. We're choking them with garbage and killing our beautiful marine creatures with plastics.
You can help. Join us for a Dive Against Debris or Beach Clean-up or plan your own.
All it takes is a few hours of your time doing what you enjoy - scuba diving or visiting a beach.
Join our facebook page or visit our upcoming events page on our website to see upcoming Beach Clean-Ups or Dives Against Debris.
Introducing our Last Afternoon initiative.
As scuba divers, we are all familiar with the Last Afternoon of a dive vacation; we must stop scuba diving 18-24 hours before our flights, so we end up with an afternoon off.
At Action Scuba, we try to organise a Dive Against Debris or Beach Clean-up on almost all of our scuba diving vacations. On our group trip to Little Cayman in March 2012, we ended our visit with an afternoon at Point of Sands where we collected 11 large garbage bags of debris.
Why not follow our lead and turn your Last Afternoon into a Beach Clean-Up? With just 1 hour of your time, you can make a huge difference to the local environment and in the perceptions of your fellow travellers.
We also challenge all other dive centres to do the same on their group trips.
